I am currently accepting new clients for in-person individual sessions (adults and adolescents). I know that deciding to seek therapy can be scary, and is intimidating for some. There is still a lot of stigma attached to counseling, and some people wonder if their problems are serious enough to warrant therapy. Or, some are scared that they will be judged by the therapist. You might think that the issues you are currently dealing with can't get any better from counseling. While there are certainly many things outside of our control, we ourselves choose how to react to these circumstances. Often times, it is helpful to talk with a professional in order to get some guidance for dealing with our circumstances in a healthier way.
No matter what issues one may have, I can assure you that anyone can benefit from psychotherapy, and I will absolutely not be judging or disclosing anything you tell me. The only exceptions to confidentiality are if you are at immediate risk of harming yourself or someone else (meaning you have a plan and intention of following through with it), or if you disclose the abuse of a child, elderly person, or someone who is disabled. Otherwise, whatever you tell me is strictly between us.
All in-person sessions take place at my office in Sugar Land, TX.
